There’s been some misunderstanding about [YACG]’s license over the past few months so there is a couple of people out there selling “enhanced” or “modified” versions of it.
To avoid more misunderstanding, here is *yet again* [YACG]’s license:
[YACG] by busin3ss/Vladimir is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 United States License.
This license has been stated several times, included into the zip files of [YACG] in the past, has been mentioned several times on the forums, via email, via im, etc…
The reason why [YACG] is open source is because we want you to use it, and modify it to fit your needs… Not for you guys to sell it.
Please saves us and you the hazzle of making you to accept the terms before downloading it, bundling legal documents with the zip file and making you read the complete license before you can start using it.

It’s time for another update to our site generation engine. In this long-in-coming release we’re bringing all the cool stuff from [YACG] 3.5 in a smaller and simpler package plus some tasty new features.
- simplified UTF support
- [YACG] now automatically finds PREVIEW_HOOK in your page.php template
- no more keywords.tmp.txt, we’re back to one simple keywords.txt file
- less resource-intensive pinging, sitemap and feed generation
- totally reworked admin section
- new getrss hook which allows you to scrape any rss feed
- new serp scraper hook, scraping google, yahoo, bing
- new images hook, fetching images from flickr, photobucket, yahoo and google image search
- new getcontent hook allowing you to limit size of the content for every hook
- added option to video hook to randomly choose a video provider (vimeo, flickr, bliptv, viddler, youtube)
- …and numerous other internal modifications
And all of this is only 65% of the size of YACG 3.5.5 (596Kb vs 926Kb)
Since [YACG] has undergone some major modifications to it’s engine, be sure to report any bugs you will encounter.

Since we are lazy greedy bastards, the content generation part of [YACG] has been neglected for quite some time, but not anymore. [YACG] 3.5 brings a big overhaul to the hooks, in fact no file in the hooks folder was left untouched. We’ve fixed and made better all the old hooks and brought in some new.
Here is an overview of all the changes we’ve made:
- New clickbank hook
- Simplepie RSS parsing library is now included by default(and powers some of the hooks)
- fetch function now supports post requests and redirects(if your host supports them)
- New add_keyword function, which you can use in any of your hooks(i hope you’ve guessed what it does)
- Fixed Peakclick and UMAX hooks
- Sitemap is now paginated
- Improved the bookmarking hook(easier to use and much prettier now)
- New video hook. Supports vimeo, flickr, bliptv, viddler and youtube
- ‘renamethisfolder’ is ‘rootfolder’ now(name was kinda inconvenient to refer to)
- Url structure now is more wordpress-like
- New wordpress-like archives(by month)
- Now almost every hook has $bare option(if set to true hook will return it’s content as an array, so you can blend it in your template however you want)
- New Photobucket hook
- New blogsearch hook
- Fixed bug with sitemap redirecting to sitemap.xml on GoDaddy(and some other hosts)
As a side note – [YACG] does some pretty heavy scraping to generate it’s content(as, for example, new uber-cool blogsearch hook), so don’t forget to turn on Caching or at least use cache hook to make your sites faster.
